Avoid Puddles and Plow Trucks: Puddles can hold larger amounts of salt, and driving behind a plow truck means you are the first one to drive through that fresh layer of salt.

Wash your vehicle after a snowstorm: Get the salt off your vehicle as quickly as possible.
